"I’ve always loved the idea of modelling. But for the longest time, it sat quietly in the background, behind career goals, travel plans, and the ever-growing list of life’s other ‘priorities’. I found excuses, I doubted myself, and I told myself it wasn’t the right time. But here I am, 34, and choosing differently. Choosing to dive in." — Steph Bowen.
There’s something magnetic about a model who brings more than just beauty to the frame, someone who steps in front of the camera not to be seen, but to express, empower, and elevate That’s what makes Steph more than a new face in the modelling world. She’s a quiet storm from Bristol, now entering the scene with intention, creativity, and a powerful message: It’s never too late to follow your passion.
A Journey of Rediscovery
Steph’s journey into modelling wasn’t born from childhood runways or early agency signings, it was born from introspection. A moment of realisation that life moves fast, and dreams only wait so long. After years of travel, career building, and personal evolution, Steph decided to listen to that inner voice that had always been curious about stepping in front of the lens.
"What excites me about modelling now is the feeling of fully standing in my confidence. I find it empowering. I adore the fashion, the elegance, the artistry… the whole process that goes into capturing something unforgettable in a single shot."
Steph isn’t just showing up to shoots, she’s crafting them. With a sharp eye for detail and a growing passion for perfecting the pose, styling, and makeup, she’s already shown an incredible commitment to learning the craft. And while she’s brand new to the industry, she brings a freshness and humility that seasoned photographers quickly notice.
The Beginning: Final Image Photography

Steph’s professional journey began when she reached out to Final Image Photography, asking not just for a shoot, but for guidance,a foundation to build upon. With over 22 years of experience and more than 300 models photographed, I’ve come to recognise the qualities that make someone stand out. From our very first session, it was clear that Steph had those qualities. She listens, she learns, she contributes. She’s coachable when direction is needed, but also fearless in suggesting new ideas and adding creative value to each shoot. Already, we’ve completed two shoots together, with many more in the pipeline. In August, Steph will also shoot in her hometown of Bristol, bringing her evolving style back to the city where it all began.
Steph is currently building her portfolio, focusing on editorial, fashion, and moody, artistic compositions. But this is just the beginning, together, we’re exploring different styles, pushing creative boundaries, and preparing her to confidently shoot in more public settings and dynamic environments.
The Vision
Steph’s aspirations are clear:
“I want to build a diverse portfolio, experiment with various styles, and grow into both editorial and commercial work. I’m open to agency and freelance paths,I just want to create and collaborate with people who see beauty through a creative lens.”
Standing at 5'9" and wearing a UK size 8-10, Steph is well suited to the editorial space. But what’s even more compelling is her why, her desire to inspire other women who may think modelling isn’t ‘for them’ due to age, background, or a late start.
“Since I’ve started modelling in my 30s, I love the idea of empowering women of all ages, shapes, and sizes to give it a go. Modelling isn’t just about appearance, it’s a form of expression, a way to feel fully yourself, to stand in your power, and explore new sides of who you are.”
Looking Ahead
With every click of the shutter, Steph is not just building a portfolio, she’s building confidence, nurturing creativity, and defining her own space in the world of modelling. And while she’s still early in the journey, the trajectory is undeniable.
We’ll continue working together to sharpen her skills under different conditions, experiment with visual storytelling, and develop her presence in front of broader audiences. As she continues to evolve, I have no doubt Steph will become someone to watch, not just for what she creates in front of the camera, but for the message she sends behind it.
"It’s not about being perfect, it’s about showing up, feeling empowered, and letting the camera capture something real."
Steph is redefining what it means to be a new model. Her journey is a testament to courage, curiosity, and the undeniable power of starting now.
If her story speaks to you, maybe it’s time to step into your light too.
